'Daimler', a name synonymous with style and quality and part of our countries motoring heritage .
Our 'Consort' is presented in ‘Solid Black’ & ‘Old English White’ livery with the original leather interior still intact. Owned by the same family since she was built in 1951 by Daimler in their Coventry workshops the car comes with the same high specification and level of quality expected of the time and the manufacturer.
Known as the DB18 Daimler Consort, ‘Connie’ to us, the new Consort had a new cleaner and more modern styling with the bright chrome frontage – it came only as a four door saloon and had a new 'six light' window arrangement making it ideal for the 'photographs'.
The Daimler was a firm favourite with Her Majesty the Queen Mother and was often first in line behind the Queens car at official engagements. Traditionally, the car used for Royal Weddings, the Daimler never fails to impress, or even surpass expectations. The appointment of the interior affords a level of comfort and character only associated with a best of British manufacturing.
The only improvement, we at Kennedy Classics have made to the vehicle is to install a new electronic ignition system - this will ensure greater reliability and better performance and was a technology not available at the time of manufacture.
